RHIP-TIDES Location, Parking & Accommodations

The first Rural Health Improvement for Pediatric Treatment in Dental Essential Services (RHIP-TIDES) continuing education course takes place at the MUSC College of Dental Medicine at MUSC, June 10-11, 2022. This course has been approved for 7.0 hours of continuing education credit.

Location

The course will take place in the Basic Science Building, James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine, Medical University of South Carolina, 173 Ashley Avenue, room BS433 (4th floor), and Sim Labs will be held in room BS540 (5th floor).

Parking

Parking is available on Friday, June 10, and Saturday, June 11, 2022, at the 91 President Street Parking Garage for a nominal fee of $6.00/day.

Parking is also available on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at the 30 Bee Street Parking lot for a nominal fee of $6.00. This lot is closer to the Basic Science Building and is located across from the Dental Clinics Building, however, please note that it is NOT available for parking on Friday AND on Friday, two parking passes to cover Friday and Saturday must be purchased. Parking passes are not sold at the Bee St. lot, you will have to have already purchased them on Friday.

**Apple Maps or WAZE are best for directions, Google Maps tends to direct you to the wrong location. Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the 12:00 pm start on June 10th and the 8:00 am start on June 11th to allow plenty of time for parking and walking to the Basic Science Building.

The room rate is $209.00 per night for either hotel. All rates are net & subject to state and local taxes, which is currently 14% per room night. A $2.28 per room per night destination fee also applies.

Special Provisions: Complimentary parking, breakfast, and wi-fi access included in the rate.

Guest Arrival and Departure: Guest check-in is 4:00 PM and checkout time is 11:00 AM. Room assignments prior to that time are on an availability basis. Rooms will be made available for check-in as soon as possible. Luggage storage is available for early arrivals.

Reservation Cut-off Dates: All reservations must be received on or before 5/10/22. Reservations received after this date may be accepted on a space-available basis only and may not reflect the special group rate.

Individual Cancellations: Individual cancellations must be received no later than 48 hours prior to the scheduled arrival. Cancellations received within 48 hours will be billed for one night’s room and tax.
