MUSC dental medicine graduates share future plans

The 78 graduates of the James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine’s Class of 2025 reported their future plans, as of May 6. Nine graduates were commissioned into the U.S. Armed Forces, breaking the record set the prior year.

This excellent group of new dentists are both talented and compassionate, prepared to provide outstanding care to their patients and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

Among the distinguished guest speakers who congratulated the class over the course of their graduation ceremonies was the president of the American Dental Association, Brett Kessler, D.M.D.

Over their four years in dental school, the class was led by Jesse Raybon, D.M.D., as president, and Evie Teruel, D.M.D., and Drew Reynolds, D.M.D., as vice presidents. Ashlea Willis, D.M.D., served as the American Student Dental Association president. Maddie Baker, D.M.D., was the vice president of the university’s Honor Council and Taylor Foggie, D.M.D., was an executive board member of the Student Government Association.
