Continuing Education Courses

The College of Dental Medicine offers continuing education courses designed to provide practicing dentists with opportunities to continue their education. Courses are designed to provide both didactic and clinical instruction in new methods and techniques.

The College of Dental Medicine does not have a central continuing education (CE) office, so please reach out to the program contacts named below with any questions.

The Carlos F. Salinas Dental Program 

It's the twenty-third annual CE seminar: The Carlos F. Salinas Dental Program for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Individuals with Special Health Care Needs! The seminar takes place September 30, 2022, from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. See the speaker line up and more on the Salinas event flyer

There will be seven hours of CE credit.

Nitrous Oxide Monitoring

Do you need a SC Nitrous Oxide Certification? This is an approved course that will prepare you for the South Carolina State Board Nitrous Oxide Examination. We will review basic physiology and anatomy within the use of nitrous oxide analgesia. The Nitrous Oxide Monitoring (PDF) course will be taught by Dr. Gabriel Ross, Affiliate Professor of College of Dental Medicine, Department of Pediatric Dentistry. The course is open to dental assistants and dental hygienists working across all dental specialties. The course will be offered on Saturday, June 4th, September 10th, and November 19th, 2022 from 9am to 3pm. Online course registration is $200 and includes a box lunch.  Please download this information sheet (PDF) for additional details.
